Mission Statement
The mission of the Pharr Police Canine Unit is to promote service and safety in the community by providing general and specialized police patrol through the efficient deployment and use of our canine teams. Their deployment will involve using a police canine to enhance crime prevention activities, criminal investigations, and assisting in traffic as well as drug education.

Organization
The Pharr Police Canine Unit is assigned to the Patrol Division and is supervised by Lieutenant Joel Robles, K-9 Sergeant/K9 Trainer Marcos Ramirez, and has 5 K9 handlers assigned to the unit.
