The Pharr Police Special Response Team (S.R.T.) is comprised of Pharr Police Officers who have dual assignments within the Department, serving as investigators, patrol officers, or supervisors. The Pharr Police S.R.T. is called out to any high-risk incident that requires specialized trained techniques and operators. The Pharr Police Department S.R.T. works in conjunction with the Crisis Negotiation Unit, Mental Health Officers and along with other outside agencies requesting the assistance. The SRT primary mission is to save lives utilizing specialized equipment and training, with the least amount of force necessary. The S.R.T. is primarily committed to serve the Community of the city of Pharr.
