After completion of the field training program and a probationary period, officers have the ability to apply to for a wide variety of assignments and career opportunities depending on availability and vacancies. Assignments include, Criminal Investigator, Task Force Officer, Special Response Operator, Crisis Negotiator, K9 Handler, Bike Patrol, Field Training Officer, Accident Reconstruction, Honor Guard, Intoxilyzer Operator, C.A.P.E Officer and Training Instructor. Each assignment offers exciting and challenging training opportunities that widen and further each officers Law Enforcement education. Aside from the above-mentioned assignments officers will also have several training opportunities made available to them throughout their career.
